The Music
Writing Software I
use.
These are the music writing software I use to produce all
the albums in this site. Find some little atricles on
ow I used them, what I like of them and what I can do with
them. Articles open on a new page when clicking on
respective title.
The center piece of music writing software for composing is
the sequencer. It is like a second brain or the extension
of it. And my preferred application is Logic Audio now Logic
Pro 7. More:

The Sampler:
The second music writing software is the
sampler. Basically a sampler is an application that playback
some prerecorded sound banks. It could be anything from a dog
barking to sophisticated orchestral library. I am using two
pieces of software here: Emagic exs24 and Gigastudio.

Mixing:
Mixing all the tracks are done with my famous Creamware Dsp
Sound cards which I like very much. The dsp on these cards
allow me to add synth sounds to my arsenal and high quality
mixing not obtainable in native applications. It compares
advantageously with dedicated external mixing board. More:

The Editor:
Wavelab is one of the music writing software I use
for editing. His function is mastering which means balancing
final sonic parameters before burning a compact disk. This
means adequate loudness and sound level perception between
tracks. More:

Sound library:
Samplers without sounds to playback are useless. Right my
main sounds library is East west symphonic orchestra gold. For
me it is an entry level product although some great music can
be done with it. But the 2 others who are in my wish are "Sonic
Implant" and "Vienna Symphonic Library". Maybe one day...
